Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Qhash Foundation (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use the website qhash.foundation and any related operator tools (the “Services”).
Who we are
The Services are operated by Qhash Foundation LLC – Series 456 (OtoCo WY LLC), Sheridan, Wyoming, USA. You can contact us at hello@qhash.foundation.
Our approach to personal data
We design the Services to avoid collecting or managing personal data from general visitors as much as possible. We do not offer public user registration, profiles, newsletters, or similar features that would require you to submit personal data.
The only personal data we intentionally process relates to internal, authorized operators who have credentials to access restricted tools such as the Qhash Console.
Cookies
We use cookies only for authentication and session management in restricted areas of the site. In particular:
- We may set a short-lived, HTTP-only cookie containing a signed token (for example, a JWT) to keep an authorized operator logged in.
- We do not use cookies for advertising, marketing, behavioral tracking, or analytics.
If you only browse the public pages of the site and do not access restricted areas, the use of cookies is minimal and limited to what is strictly necessary for basic operation and security.
Information we may process
General visitors
When you access the public website, we do not ask you to provide personal data. However, like most internet services, the underlying infrastructure may temporarily process some technical information that could be considered personal data in some jurisdictions, such as:
- IP address and basic device or browser information;
- Date and time of the request and the requested URL;
- Basic error or diagnostic information in server logs.
This information is used only for security, abuse prevention, and maintaining the technical operation of the Services. We do not build profiles of visitors.
Authorized operators
For restricted, non-public tools (for example, the Qhash Console), we may store:
- A chosen username;
- A password in hashed form (never in plain text);
- Authentication tokens required to keep the session active.
This information is used solely to control access to these internal tools and to secure the infrastructure.
Sharing of information
We do not sell or rent your personal data. Technical data and logs may be processed by our hosting or infrastructure providers as part of providing their services. We may disclose information if required by law or if necessary to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Data retention
We keep technical logs and authentication data only for as long as needed to operate, secure, and maintain the Services, or as required by applicable law. We aim to minimize both the amount of data collected and the duration of storage.
Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights in relation to personal data, such as the right to access, correct, or delete certain information. Because we intentionally limit the collection of personal data, there is often very little data associated with individual visitors. If you have questions, you can contact us at hello@qhash.foundation.
Third-party services and links
The Services may link to third-party websites or tools (for example, blockchain explorers or social media platforms). We are not responsible for how those third parties handle data, and we encourage you to review their own privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date below. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
